Why are there coffee grounds in my NEW coffee machine?

DeLonghi tests 100% of its units on the assembly line before packaging. Some units are also pulled for additional QA testing. Customer satisfaction is very important and we want to ensure our customers have the best out of box experience possible.

Although we do try to remove ALL grounds prior to packaging, it is impossible to do. Our units travel overseas so it is normal for grinds to dislodge during transportation at times. We apologize for this, but we can assure you this is Normal the verify the unit is NEW .
