Why is there steam and smoke coming from the drip tray of my combination coffee maker?
It is perfectly normal to see steam coming from the drip tray. The unit is designed with a steam discharge hole in the drip tray to rid the unit of excess steam when the unit is in steam mode. This will happen when the steam function is activated but the steam knob is in the off position. To avoid this, set the unit to steam function, when ready open the valve to froth your milk, then deactivate the steam function.
