Descaling is required when the "descale“ red light comes on the display. The frequency of descaling depends on the hardness of the water in your area. We recommend to always use the De’Longhi water filter and perform the water hardness tests to program the descaling alarm correctly.
We recommend to use the original De'Longhi descaler EcoDecalk specifically designed for our machines to obtain optimal results.

If the descaling light is still on after descaling, it means that the descaling process might have been carried out too quickly or that some necessary steps have been skipped, preventing the machine from recognising and completing the process.
If this is the case, please follow the below steps to solve the issue:
If the water tank has not been filled to the MAX level after descaling, the appliance prompts for a third rinse to ensure that the descaler solution has been completely eliminated from the machine’s internal circuits.
If, despite this procedure, the descaling alarm is still on, please contact our Customer Service.
The coffee grinder is automatically set to prepare the best coffee, and should not require any adjustments at first.
If the result in cup is not satisfactory, try to adjust the Aroma setting directly from the control panel as a first step. As a second step, you can even adjust the coffee grinding as follows:
Please note: only adjust the grinder one notch at a time and while the grinder is operating.
It may take a few coffees to achieve the desired result.

In order to have top-quality milk drinks all the time, we recommend regular cleaning of the carafe, which you can simply do by using the 'Clean' button after each milk drink delivery before storing it inside the refrigerator. It is advisable to keep the milk inside the carafe for a maximum of 48 hours. Afterwards, the carafe should always be washed in all its parts: make sure to disassemble each component as shown in the video and pay attention to the air channel which must be free of any milk residue. All components can be washed in the highest rack of the dishwasher.

This may happen as a result of a blackout: the infuser can be removed only if the machine has been correctly switched-off.
Follow this process to solve it easily:
You should now be able to remove the brewing unit easily.
Tips:
Always switch the machine OFF through the ON/OFF button to allow the switch-off process to correctly complete. If you are unable to remove the brewing unit, please do not force it.
